Rts 11/15

7/20 @ 0636, Squad 2 was alerted along with Company 9 (New Buffalo) for an accident with entrapment on 11/15 in the area of the New Buffalo Diner.  The Squad was out the door in minutes with 6, followed shortly by Rescue 9.  Command advised of heavy entrapment in one of the two tractor trailers involved.  Crews arrived and pulled the full compliment of tools and cribbing from the Squad and began to work on extricating the driver.  Engine 2 was also dispatched to assist.  The cab of the involved truck has sheared off the frame and was laying in the roadway.  That, along with heavy entrapment, brought Rescue 11 (Perdix) on the box.  Extrication was marked just after the 1 hour mark, and the patient transferred to Life Lion for transport.
